Arch/Mech Drafting using Google SketchUp Pro

Introduction to the fundamental operating principles used in applying the computer as a tool in drafting and design. Provides basic skills needed in using the computer to create, edit, revise and store drawing and design information. Studnets will interact as a team to sketch and recreate a portion of Palma High School utilizing Google SketchUp Pro.

Grading Policy:

  1. Quarter Grade = Qtr 1 + Qtr 2 100% Classwork, Qtr 3+4 100% Class Project
  2. Semester Grade = 50% for each quarter
  3. Letter Grades will be assigned in accordance with school policy:
    A = 100 - 90, B = 89 - 80, C = 79 - 70, D = 69 - 60 and F = 59 - 0

Classwork:
Classwork will encompass day to day assignment including but not limited to in class participation, understanding of software applications, tests and quizzes.

Class Project:
At the start of the second semester, both classes will team up to recreate a portion of Palma High School. Students will be evaluated on how well they work with the team and their ability to apply the skills they learned in the first semester.

Lab Fee:
There is a lab fee of $50, which will be charged to every student taking a computer class. This covers the cost of the books and materials, which they will use during the course.
