Java Programming Honors
This course will work at extending the discipline of computer science and is an Honors course. It is for those students who might be planning a computer science major in college or for those who might have a general interest in programming. Software engineering concepts are used to enhance, motivate, and nurture the problem solving approach that will be used throughout.Office Hours:

BlueJ version 2.2.0
Books:
Objects First with Java, A Practical Introduction using BlueJ, 3rd ed, published by Prentice Hall / Pearson Education in 2006
Grading Policy:
- Quarter Grade = 80% Classwork + 20% Participation
- Semester Grade = 50% for each quarter
- Letter Grades will be assigned in accordance with school policy:
A = 100 - 90, B = 89 - 80, C = 79 - 70, D = 69 - 60 and F = 59 - 0
Classwork:
Classwork is assigned daily and the student will be given ample time to complete the task. No late assignments will be accepted.
Participation:
Participation is made up of day to day points that the students receive for working on their classwork. If at anytime the student is not actively working on their projects they will be marked down a point for the day.
Lab Fee:
There is a lab fee of $50, which will be charged to every student taking a computer class. This covers the cost of the books and materials, which they will use during the course.
